Preparation, structure and mechanical properties of SiC particle reinforced titanium-aluminum layered composites

چکیده
Abstract Ductile Ti in Ti/Al 3 laminated composites only improves the plasticity of Al Ti, but does not increase strength essentially. The silicon carbide particles have excellent properties such as low density, expansion, high hardness, stiffness, elastic modulus and isotropy, which can be used layered composite to further improve its strength. In this paper, SiC particle-reinforced were prepared by ball milling, microstructure was characterized scanning electron microscope(SEM), energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS) other testing methods, phase calibrated X-ray diffractometer. physical mechanical tested, fracture mechanism p -Ti/Al analyzed.
